apple pie and sugar


is quite the best apple pie I have eaten apples still a little crunchy and a good fudge .. a perfect match!




Ingredients

4-5

apples 1 tbsp (15 ml) lemon juice

a pie shell, baked 9-inch (22 cm)

1 / 4 cup (65 ml) butter

3 / 4 cup (190 ml) brown sugar

3 / 4 cup (190 ml) water, boiling

2 tbsp (30 ml) starch Corn

2 tbsp (30 ml) all-purpose flour

1 1 / 4 cup (315 ml) cream 35%


Steps


Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 C).
Cut apples into slices and drizzle with lemon juice.
Place in pie crust pre-baked. Bake until apples are tender, about 10 minutes.
Bring water to boil.
Melt butter and add brown sugar. Cook until sugar is completely dissolved.
Remove from heat. Slowly add boiling water and stir.
In a small bowl, mix together cream, flour and cornstarch.
Add caramel, stirring with a whisk.
Simmer until thickened, about 3 to 4 minutes. Cover with a
waxed paper and let cool to room temperature for 30 minutes.
Pour over apples.
Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving
